Trevithick day

This saturday is Trevithick day in Camborne and along with all the other stalls  there will be an art and crafts sale in the community centre.  I have been busy this week preparing my crafts  in readiness.  I'll photograph it when its all set up so that you can see what I've been up to these last few weeks!

I also wanted to show you a wonderful painting that my daughter recieved from a friend for her new house.  Jess has painted this using mixed media and I'm sure you'll agree it's a stunning painting.  The colours and design are perfect for my daughters living room where she has it hanging above her sofa. 

Crochet gift!

As you know my daughter has recently moved and I'm pleased to say is settling in now.  Her cat found it all a bit strange but is now happy to go out and about.  For the cats new home present I made her a kitty lay and play mat!   The free pattern can be found here. It's a lovely quick project so if you fancy getting your crochet hooks out try it.  Here's a couple of photos for you to see it.

Grand Nephews birthday

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend and enjoying a break from your usual weekly routine. Tomorrow it's a grand nephews 1st birthday, he is such a happy smiling boy.  Here's the card I've made him, please excuse the photography, unfortunately I fell over on friday when I popped to my local post office and am unable to bend easily as I'm all bruised and  caught my back! Oh well I 'll just have to be more careful and watch where I'm going! lol

I added the topper with dimensionals and then put some stickles diamond on the no. 1 and used a coral colour stickles to represent the flames coming from the rocket.  I add the rocket with dimensions to the frame with an extra dimensional at the end to keep it level.. The base card is cream colour and 5X5inch square.

Birthday cake

Sorry for such a gap in posting, I've been busy with custom orders and of course Christmas preparations.  I celebrated my Birthday a couple of weeks ago and had a wonderful day.  I was very spoilt at lunch time while I was at my lovely daughter in laws.  Her Mum ( now a dear friend of mine) made a wonderful birthday cake.  As you can it was very popular with my lovely grandaughter! lol and we both got in a lovely mess eating our cake! lol

Bonfire night

Happy weekend everyone, here are a couple of photos from las Saturdays bonfire night at my son and daughte in laws.  We had a great evening with 4 generations of one family all enjoying the fireworks and as you can see sparklers.   The second photo shows the toffee apples that DIL made for us all, she had also made some wonderful pumpkin soup and homemade bread along with other delights.

Sons Wedding

Hi just popping in to let you all know the wedding went really well.  Here are a couple of photos for you. The first is of Dave arriving in a 3 wheel  replica Morgan car and his best man arrived in a Westfield open top car.

This next photo is of Dave and Michelle with my lovely grandaughter the flower girl. :-)

 and here they are arriving at the reception in the Tuk tuk that Michelle arrived to church in.

Merry Christmas

 Mery Christmas everyone, I hope you have a wonderful time, I'm lucky enough to be spending christmas day with all my family round  for Christmas dinner, so cooking for 10! lol

a new crafting pal!

Evening everyone as plammed I managed to get some crafting done this afternoon and  thought you might like to see my new crafting pal/critic! lol  Our cat kizzy was determined to sit with me and knows I don't like her on my table so went on my shoulders instead! I'll show you the cards I made tomorrow as the photo wasn't too good with the flash going off on my camera.

Thought some of you might like this photo I took today, Maisie decided she was fed up with Marie crafting and after jumping up and down for a while she jumped onto Maries lap to stop her! lol

Had to share this with you all, my son made this card for mothers day including doing the painting, isn't it brilliant.

Stunning Bride

My niece married on Saturday 23rd here are a couple of photos, doesn't she look stunning and her page boy looked fantastic in his Cornish kilt. He was so good especially during the ceremony as he had the wedding rings in his sporran and right on queue he gave them to the bride and groom as they exchanged their vows and he's only just 3 years old.

Edit 23rd Feb -whoops their page boy is only 2 years old, sorry about that. lol It just emphasizes how good he was!

Snow sunday

Well my son got his wish for more snow! lol Here is a photo of him with his daughter (our grandaughter) Amelia in their backgarden. Amelia isn't quite sure what to make of the snow! lol

My crafting club has been cancelled tomorrow so I'm hoping to spend some time in my craft room with my punches. :-)) I'll post any cards/punchart I do and I'll also post some up to date photos of my craft room now I've finished sorting it out.

The best trick or treater

Hi I just had to show you all our grandaughter all dressed up and visiting family, isn't she just the best? (can you tell I'm the proudest Nana! lol) Amelia is now just over 6 months old, where does the time go.
