Liams Card

Hi everyone, I just wanted to show you this wonderful halloween card that a friends grandson made. He wanted to use my punches and made 2 smashing cards. I'm unable to show you one of them as its a card for his Mums wedding and she may pop here and see it! lol Here's his brilliant halloween card. He used the star punch to make the hat and witches nose and I think he used a circle punch for the black cloak and the moon etc. The cat and stars are peeloffs.

Blackbird comic

The inspiration for this punchart bird came from an image made in paintshop pro. I am in the process of making two other versions of the bird and will post them when they are completed.
All punches used for this are stampin up with the exception of the legs which was a papermania stamp.

Punchart bookmarks

I thought it was high time I got my punches out and have been busy making some bookmarks. The girl is the top of Jackie Topas toddler punchart and the rest I got from spitcoast stampers. There are soooo many more I want to do but like everyone else I can't afford all the punches! lol I'll post a pic of the next batch of bookmarks that I do, I've made a giraffes head which I'm pleased with and a neighbour has already asked me to make her one!

2 Quick cards

If you're looking for an idea for a very quick card to make these didn't take long at all. The only time was waiting for the glitter to dry.

Recipe
The birds were made using Stampin ups 2 step bird punch and scraps of card stock.
I sponged the edges with whispers ink.
I used black gel pen for the eyes, and a smear of stickles stardust on the top edge of the wing and head.
Paper border for the top left card is from a Laura Ashley selection pack.
Glitter is Stardust Stickles.
The backing paper for the top right card is from a Papermania spring collection.

Crimp and punch

At last I managed to spend some time in my craft room today. Here is one card I've finished. The crimped background instructions can be found here: http://stamping411.blogspot.com/2009/09/crimped-over-top-tutorial.html

Recipe

For the flower -I used Stampin ups 5 petal punch x2 punchies and the trio flowers punch. The punch I used for the leaves was an EK success punch.

I used pattened paper that I've had for some time for the 2x 5 petal and for the centre I punched out a flower from a tissue box using the trio punch.

White card with the edge cut and scored for used.

More family cards

For my nieces birthday card I made a topper and backing sheet using a photo of her dog (Bichon frise) and a lot of pink as that's her favourite colour! lol

For the second card I used a Stampin up circle scallop punch and a punch/stamp from the 3 for you stamp set for the 3 small flowers . The layout idea I got from an example card on a Stampin up examples site. The lilac backing paper and flower topper are from old TLC stock i have.

Animal magic

I have been having great fun with my punches making animal toppers so far I've got 2 done and there are many more I want to try! lol

The sheep card isn't finished with a sentiment etc as I feel it will work for several different occasions. I got the instructions for this from Stamp with Heather http://stampwithheather.typepad.com/stamp_with_heather/ who is brilliant with stamping and punching.

The owl card I have made for someone who ran a rescue centre for all animals including owls. The instructions for this I found on Youtube by foreveramber925. Both cards use stampinup punches, I had to adapt the owl a bit as I don't have all the punches used. (yet! lol)

Birthday Cards

It's a busy time of year with cards needed for birthdays and other occasions. Here are a couple of cards I've recently made the first is using the tag punch I bought from stamping up.

The second is a card using a concertina folded butterfly that I'm pleased with and have kept a template of how I did it for futute use.
