Valentines card

Here is the card I've made using this weeks freebie sheets on saturday. The card base is a 5"x&7" card.
I add a small piece of the backing sheet which I gave a scallop edge using the SU edge punch.  The topper I layered up with SU demensionals with the exception of the 'curl'.  To give it a more curled look I add a SU dimensional to the widest part and then add 1mm foam pads at the edges.  Hope that makes sense!   I used a heart corner punch on the card base and added a piece of the backing sheet behind the heart with double sided tape and then add glitter over the tapes into the hearts.  Glitter was also added to a pale pink heart and then attached to the card with a 1mm foam pad. Below are some closer shots to show the layering and glitter corners.

S~on~S Valentines

As valentines day is fast approaching I thought I'd design a valentines sheet  for you, or your children to use.  I've designed it to layer it up and have included some extra hearts for you to randomly decoupage on the design or to use as a border.  The image is by Simon Howden.

Dirt bike cards

Hi everyone, I thought I'd show you a couple of cards made using a dirt bike sheet I've designed.  The first card was made by Marie for her grandson.  She used the backing sheet and added the topper with dimensionals, then finished the card with peeloff sentiments etc.
For the second card I used SU ink (banana and apricot ones, sorry I can't remember the exact names of the colours! ) to daub a 'ring of fire'.  I added the topper flat to the card and added the decoupage bike for dimension using 1mm foam pads.  The fibres  were from my stash.

S~on~S Denim toppers

Hi everyone, this week I've designed something a little different and if you get a moment could you leave me a comment as to whether you'd like more or less of this kind of sheet.  Thanks ever so.  I hope to post a card this afternoon that I'm making using elements from this sheet so catch you all later.  Have a wonderful weekend and I hope the weather is being kind to you wherever you are in the world.

As promised here are the cards that I've made with the above sheet, both cards were really quick to make so are ideal if you need a card quickly.
Recipe
The 1st card I cut out leaving a tiny border around the pattern and then used a corner punch.  I added this with SU dimensionals  and used 2 brads that were bought some while ago at the Lakeland store.  For the 2nd card  I cut a tag from the denim border using the SU punch and added some ribbon from stock. I then used a sakura crystal pen to add a dotted corner on the top of the card.

S on S ~ Elephants

I think I've neglected  children for too long! so this week here's a sheet for a little girls birthday.  I have only added the elephants to decoupage and then hopefully the backing pattern can be used in your cards.  Have fun and I hope you all have a good weekend.

Paint brushes ~Cards

Here are a couple of cards I've made using todays sheet.
Recipe
Card 1
I used the smaller topper and added a  SU round tab from the backing sheet, and attached it with an Anita brad.  Then added a peeloff sentiment and stars and added the topper with dimensionals. The card base was a 5" square card.
Card 2
I used the larger topper and cut along the top of the side box area (somewhat crookedly! ) and passed a strip of backing sheet through. The ribbon I added on top of the strip was from my stock.  I made the 'flower' using a SU boho punch added a brad from stock. The card base was a 4" square card.

S on S Paint brushes

This week I've designed a sheet for you that can be used for any occasion, hence leaving the sentiment areas blank.  If any of you would like the image to have a different coloured background than cerise please leave a comment and I'll do it  asap.

SonS cards

Hi,  hope you're all recovering from your New year celebrations and I'm sure a lot of you are like me and back to your usual routines, well at least I'm trying to get back! lol  Here are a couple of cards I made with Saturdays sheet, hope they can help with layout ideas etc. I think the cards are self explanatory, I used a 1/2" punch for the circles on the top card and added some ribbon from stock and added black peeloff strips down the side of the 2nd card backing layer.

S on S ~ Whoops?

Welcome to 2011, I hope you all enjoyed yourselves celebrating the end of 2010 and welcoming in this new year.  I thought I'd start the new years Sheets on Saturday with this wonderful image that I found on the www. The idea for a sheet saying whoops is from the tradition of making new years resolutions and then a few weeks on breaking them! lol
