Free Download - Over the field

I've just made this set using some encaustic art that I made a while ago. Hope the sheets come in useful. If you have trouble downloading these leave a comment and I'll try and fix it. The sheets should be A4.

My craft room

I've been getting my craft room sorted out as I've had it a while and now know what I use most etc. It's amazing you dont realise this when you first set the room up.lol Also because it's a very small room it was getting VERY untidy! lol I've had great fun finding things I thought I'd lost or used and of course some things I'd completely forgotten about! lol Here's a page of photos showing my room before my move around, and as soon as I've finished I 'll take some photos for you to see the difference.

Group of trees

I cannot take credit for the idea for this card as I saw it on another blog (sorry cannot remember who). Here is my version, hope you like it. The card is a white 5x5 inch card but for some reason it has come out blue in the photo.

The recipe for the card is:
  • Group of trees stamp from Xelacrafts ebay shop
  • The shimmer for the snow is my own, which is Acrylic shimmer paint mixed with rubbing alcohol and lightly sprayed.
  • Whispers archival ink - colour whisper lilac

Out there, Little soldier

As you know from a previous post Jaks sadly lost her 19mth old great nephew to meningitis and has been raising money for the Meningitis search 4 a Vaccine Campaign by selling 2 specially designed digi stamps. Here are the cards I've made from the stamps the 1st is called Out there by Mo Manning.

and the second is the Little Soldier which was designed by Jim Harker.

To make the cards I used: Whispers stroke brush markers to colour both images.

3D My Way by Jeje with matching peeloffs for the 1st card

Backing paper by Docrafts for the snowman (little soldier)

Wedding design

As promised here is a card I've made from the sheet I posted here. I added some ribbon from my box and a self adhesive clear heart gem from papermania. I also cut the heart design from one of the tags using the small oval punch from stampin up and put that in the lower left hand corner of the envelope. :-))

Loads of

Yet again it's a busy time for family birthdays, which include several men, so I decided some stamping was called for. For the 1st card I embossed the SU loads of love lorry (love that set!) and used black embossing powder then used brushstrokes pens to watercolour in the images. The backing paper is old TLC card stock. The edge of the tag has been sponged with SU barely blue (I think that's its name lol) The sentiment is also from the loads of love stamp set.

For the second card I used a topper that I had and instead of cutting it out I tore it and sponged SU chocolate chip ink around the tears and also around the backing sheet and banner. The twine is dark brown and waxed.

More family cards

For my nieces birthday card I made a topper and backing sheet using a photo of her dog (Bichon frise) and a lot of pink as that's her favourite colour! lol

For the second card I used a Stampin up circle scallop punch and a punch/stamp from the 3 for you stamp set for the 3 small flowers . The layout idea I got from an example card on a Stampin up examples site. The lilac backing paper and flower topper are from old TLC stock i have.

Family cards

Sorry for such a long gap between posts. Our daughter has been poorly, I'm pleased to say she is now making a good recovery. I have managed to make a few cards other than some christmas cards. One for my great nephew and another for an aunt.

My nephews card was made using the Crafters companion Boys CD and I stamped a picture of a boy and put him in the window.

For my Aunt I used a topper and backing sheet from a cd (I think Joanna sheen ! lol) I embossed a wavy line on the backing paper and the right hand side of the card front then cut this off and add as shown in the picture.

Animal magic

I have been having great fun with my punches making animal toppers so far I've got 2 done and there are many more I want to try! lol

The sheep card isn't finished with a sentiment etc as I feel it will work for several different occasions. I got the instructions for this from Stamp with Heather http://stampwithheather.typepad.com/stamp_with_heather/ who is brilliant with stamping and punching.

The owl card I have made for someone who ran a rescue centre for all animals including owls. The instructions for this I found on Youtube by foreveramber925. Both cards use stampinup punches, I had to adapt the owl a bit as I don't have all the punches used. (yet! lol)

For the Ladies

I have been trying to use up various items I've bought and have had for some time! lol This first card was from Carol Ann studio CD and I've added some 3D glue to the middle of the flower.

The second card I made from a decoupage sheet not sure where I got this one! lol but I'm pleased with the result after cutting the card to match the topper.

Embossing

I just had to show you my DIL first try at heat embossing, isn't the card brilliant. She has layered the medallion stamp up and using the silver on black card was very effective.

Weddings

It seems to be the time for weddings in my circle of friends. If its not their children then it's them! lol Here is a card I made for a friends second wedding. I also made a card for a 'nephew' which I was chuffed with but unfortunately forgot to take a pic of prior to posting it! lol

Mat pack

At last I've managed to have a quick play with my stampin up mat pack. It's so easy to use and adding a simple border is no problem as all the measuring is done for you. I made the flower from a wrapping paper design.

Flippin card!

I love the flippin cards series, here is the card I made for my niece.

First post

This blog is for my card making and crafting passion and in time I hope to add tutorials etc and be able to exchange ideas with other crafters. Why call it Aunty Carol's Publications? cos the first set of stationary I did was for a nieces wedding and my wonderful father thought the name was brilliant. lol
